You may wear makeup the following day after treatment and during the week.As the skin is getting treated, it will become vulnerable and will help minimize the chances of more damage and discoloration. This is very important and will limit your skin from burning in the sun (even when it’s cloudy or when sitting by a window). Reapply if needed, especially if you are going to be exposed to UV for a long period of time over 1.5hrs or so. Use a generous amount of broad-spectrum SPF moisturizer in the morning (preferably SPF 30 or higher).For any major irritation or intense itchiness, 1% hydrocortisone (any brand) is great to help minimize symptoms.To calm down inflammation and irritation, a cool splash of water, cold compress, or ice cube massage is recommended.It is expected and normal to peel twice around the mouth and chin area for stronger peels. It is normal to experience this around the mouth. You may use Aquaphor or Vaseline on areas that become very dry, cracked, chapped, or raw.You may moisturize more throughout the day if needed to help soothe and comfort.Please do not use any products that contain AHA, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid, and Retin-A or any acne medication until your skin is finished peeling (usually 7-10 days).This includes loofahs and cleansing cloths. Please do not exfoliate, avoid any face scrubs, acid-based products, or cleansing brushes/devices for two weeks.Receiving a body, chest or arm peel often takes longer (up to 3 weeks). Your skin will take about 4 to 7 days to completely peel depending on the strength of the peel or treatment you received. Please do not pick or pull your skin including scabs at any time after your peel.Gently cleanse your face AM and PM with a gentle cleanser.Use skincare that is free from heavy perfume or fragrance if possible.The forehead and perimeter of the face is typically last to peel. It usually starts around the mouth and peels outward. Mild itching may occur, if this happens please follow the instructions mentioned below on how to calm down. A slight spicy burning sensation may occur when hydrating the new skin. The existing pigment will look darker and very brown before it peels.
